An essential sport franchise, Pro Cycling Manager is back in a more polished than ever form to please fans of the popular series. This new edition, developed by the French studio Cyanide, promises to be the most exciting of all. It will include the most famous Tour de France 2009 faithfully reproduced in detail and for the first time the Spanish Tour (La Vuelta) which has become an official competition in the game.

Pro Cycling Manager – Tour de France 2009 is the perfect mix between management and sport simulation. It puts you in the shoes of the general manager of one of the 65 official cycling teams and asks you to handle everyday aspects of this position. Choice of the teams, transfers, trainings, finances, gear or searches for new talent, many various missions are required to position the most competitive team on the starting line. During the 180 races playable in real time 3D, you intervene directly to guide your cyclists. It's up to you to define the best strategies and tactics to win the race.

The management aspect of Pro Cycling Manager and its famous carrier mode offer many novelties and improvements for a richer game experience. General Managers can now freely create their own team, choose their secondary sponsors as well as identify and target new recruits thanks to an ingenious point system. They will also benefit from novelties like never-before-seen, customizable objectives, a new way to manage finances and a more realistic transfer AI… all these elements allow the game to be deeper and richer than any other. The race is also packed with innovations. It has a new and more ergonomic game interface, and an improved AI to allow more realistic-than-ever behaviors from the cyclists. Last year's acclaimed track cycling mode is back: it includes 4 new explosive events that are discoverable in the game's new velodromes. Scratch race, flying 200m time trial, points race and omnium join last year's time trial, keirin and elimination to bring hours of intense gameplay.

Pro Cycling Manager is a series of cycling management and real-time simulation games created by Cyanide. The game was first launched in 2001 as Cycling Manager, but the series took on the Pro label in June 2005. A new version is released every year to coincide with the Tour de France. The game is offered in a variety of languages (French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian, ..) although the actual language configuration depends on the local publisher. Pro Cycling Manager runs on the PC. The game is produced in cooperation with most of the main professional cycling teams under the aegis of the IPCT and the AIGCP. In September 2007 a Sony PSP version of the game was released. Called Pro Cycling, it is engineered to take advantage of PSP gameplay and it offers a limited management mode.

FIFA Manager 11 is the 10th edition of the franchise, featuring a vast array of all-new

features. Hundreds of improvements to the game have been made across the board with a

special focus on its core areas. Introduced last year it also includes a separate

online mode where up to 8 players can play against each other over the internet. The

manager still has full control over the management of a football club. In the game you

are responsible for the line-up, the tactics and the training of your team – as well as

Every player gets a playing level for every position, and the skill differences between

the positions will become a lot more realistic. Players will be more flexible to learn

new positions, and experience becomes more important. The game also introduces a new

morale system, which makes it more challenging for the user to keep a high morale for

all players, especially in strong teams with a lot of competition between the players.

* Transfer Market: For many fans the transfer window in summer has now become more

exciting than the actual season. The realistic implementation of this period, surely

the most stressful for any manager, is another focal point in this year’s FIFA Manager.

This core feature of every football management simulation now confronts the manager

with all the challenges real managers have to face. Players and agents will now tell

you what they expect from you ahead of the talks and the AI clubs will become a lot

smarter and use all the tactics we know from real-life, e.g. they make offers to

players just to weaken the direct competition. Life at a small club also becomes much

harder and if there is only a 1-year contract left it’s often only the decision between

the money or an unhappy player for one last year. The clubs will now have long-term

strategies and will immediately react if a season went not as good as expected.

* Just Football! FIFA Manager is well-known to simulate all aspects of club management.

This year a new mode allows the user to just focus on teams and transfers. Other

features that make the game more accessible are a new Search feature to find clubs,

players and league data a lot faster and a new Links Widget to quickly jump to the game

areas used most often.

* Separate World Cup Mode: It is possible to replay the 2010 FIFA World Cup South

Africa directly from the main menu. This is a quick game mode that takes 20 minutes to

2 hours to complete, depending on the manager’s success and love for details.

It has been stated in an interview with game producer David Rutter that there are over 250 improvements in the game.

Among the improvements in the new FIFA are improved responsiveness that allows for quicker release of the ball, greater urgency in off-the-ball running, a new jostle system that takes into account the strength of the players when going shoulder-to-shoulder, and subtle animations that enable players to take first-time shots.

Another of the edition's biggest changes is a completely revamped collision system, which calculates speed, weight, and power when the players collide, as each player will have their own individual strength and power statistics depending on their body characteristics.

New goalkeeper technology has also been added which allows for better positioning, better reactions to saves, and faster recovery after a save has been made.

A further improvement from FIFA 08 is the weather and time. Rain and snow matches can be played from Kick-off mode, however there are no weather effects in Manager Mode. Games can be played at either day, dusk or night, depending on the stadium choice.

FIFA 09 includes a "10 vs. 10" "Be a Pro" online game. The game also features user-controlled player celebrations, like in UEFA Euro 2008, in the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions.

The "Be A Pro" mode of the game has also been improved. On the PC, Xbox360, and PS3 version, the user can now play four seasons as a single player. The PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles also allow the player to change clubs, and play for his national team, depending on their performance. This feature is not present in the PC version.

Adidas Live Season

On 20 August 2008, EA unveiled the new Adidas Live Season feature that will dynamically update player form and attributes each week, in-game, based on the player's last game to reflect real-world ups and downs. Live Season is a premium service that will be available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC and covers six leagues: the Barclays Premier League, the Liga BBVA, the Ligue 1, the Bundesliga, the Serie A, and the Primera División de México. Gamers have access to one league of their choice as a free trial that runs from the moment they activate the service to the end of the 2008–09 season, while purchasing extra leagues will cost £4.99 (US$7.99) each, or all six leagues can be purchased for £12.99 (US$20.00).

User-controlled celebration

User-controlled goal celebrations are also featured for the first time in the FIFA series, having been trialled in the official video game of Euro 2008. The player can choose from a variety of pre-loaded celebrations. This feature is on seventh generation consoles only (excludes PC and Wii) due to capacity limits.

Update

FIFA 09 was updated to correspond with the transfers made in the January 2009 transfer window. This update was added on to the game via an online squad download on 10 February 2009.

On 19 March 2009, FIFA 09 was updated to version 1.02 that added the Ultimate Team mode and also Trophies for the PlayStation 3. On 6 June, version 1.03 was released. It fixed various bugs that were caused from the previous patch.

Ultimate Team Mode

'Ultimate Team Mode' is a downloadable game mode expansion for FIFA 09 available only on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. It lets users create their own teams by buying, selling, trading, and auctioning off their players with thousands of other users. Gamers earn points by playing their teams online or offline or by using Microsoft Points to buy card packs, or you can use coins which you gain from playing matches. Card packs are categorized as Gold (5,000 pts), Silver (2,500 pts), or Bronze (500 pts). Card pack contain random cards, so the user does not know exactly what he or she will get in them. Essentially, Ultimate Team is geared toward letting the user have full, customizable control over their teams. "You can also compete with your squad against others across the world"
